Sharing things I always go over in lessons. Athletes need to respect their equipment: Glove, bat, cleats. They also need to respect their parent(s) or guardian for giving them this wonderful opportunity to master their craft.
Remember on both ends you both are probably learning this together. So make it fun, repeatable and easy.
To properly learn pitching, you'll learn from the end to the beginning.
I never allow the athlete to begin in with full motion. Learning how the ball spins off the finger tips to the strike zone. Feeling how the arm unravels | whips etc. is priority # 1
The athlete should remain "tall" with good posture driving -striding towards target. Core and shoulders slightly open...brushng their ear and their "pocket" to release.
Deep dive into the pitching motion.
